I think its better to be alert, try to cross the street, as soon as you spot the stray, but if its to close you could spray a little to see if he goes away, if nothing works... its better that you take care of your own... just do what you need if the stray is aggressive you and your pet could be at risk... people should be responsible dog's don't get lost...people lose them
