a couple days ago i found a stray dog. it looked like a huskey so i asumed that it was a huskey.
it looked very skinny and it had tags. it was not afraid of humans but it did have a leg that was lame. he couldn't move the bottom part of one of his back legs. i told my sister because she is more of the dog person in our family. (she's owned all the dogs) and so she didn't do anything about it, so i thought that i shouldn't either. but then i saw him again and i came back home but then an hour later if felt bad and i couldn't stop thinking about him but, the next time i went out i couldn't find him again. i feel so bad that i didn't do anything. i should've looked at the tags.

Aww.. if i ever saw a stray husky? definitely gonna take care of it..

And of course find the owner first and if nothing really claim it...adopt it...

i could never take in another dog. my sister just got a puppy and i have to wait to get my dog till april. and i would want a golden retriever. i do want to find it a home though.

If you see it again make sure to check the tags. I own a husky and they are very friendly dogs. if it is hurt husky tend to hide or go away if they feel as if they cant get better.

call some local authority or shelter to help you catch the stray dog. And if possible post a picture of the found dog to other local shelters near you... that dog maybe belong to someone and currently looking for it...

I would be very tempted to take care of the huskey myself.

If you see it again, check the tags, they typically feature a phone #. Just this past summer I was at my parents. I walked out into the garage to get something and there was a lab trying to beat the heat by laying in our shaded garage on the cool cement. Checked the tag, called the number, and the people were there almost immediately.

Aw ...yes, perhaps you should have looked at the tags. Hopefully someone else did and all will be well.

Whilst it's very tempting to adopt a nice dog that you find, please don't ever do so without trying very hard to find the owners first! They could be distraught at losing their dog and desperate to find it.

By all means take care of a stray dog - that can sometimes be better/safer than giving a dog to a shelter - but remember that the owners may want to reclaim him so you must do your best to find them.
