Would you or have you put a chip in your dog to find it in case it goes stray? Just wondering if people have been doing this.

YES!!! Both of my girls have been microchipped!

My three dogs are all microchipped. In some states in Australia microchipping is now compulsory for dogs and cats.

Recently there was a dog returned to her owners after being lost for 9 years. All thanks to a microchip.

I believe that EVERY puppy/dog should be microchipped. Every year, thousands of dogs are lost. A chip would allow any shelter or vet to determine who the lost dog belongs to and to be able to reunite them with their owner.

Even if a dog has met with a bad ending (hit by a car and killed, etc.) at least the owner would know what happened to their dog instead of forever wondering...

I have all my dogs chipped, at the very least all dog owners should have a collar + tag for their dog(s), including the rabies and any license (per local laws/regulations.)

Not to toot my own horn but I offer personalized dog tags at under 6 bucks and would be happy to ship them for free to anyone who needs one, or maybe even provide them for free if you really can't afford them
